Rob, didn't know if you wanted to maybe post a testimony on your website from someone who has had work done by you. Either way wanted to tell you thanks and I hope to be back sometime in August to finish my piece. I'm already thinking August 14th or 16th. I would love if we could knock it out in one sitting. Let me know what your calendar looks like.

Here ya go:

When I began my research into who would finish my forearm sleeve I took alot into consideration. This artwork is very important to me due to the fact that it has my family code/coat of arms, my three kids favorite colors, & the Maltese (firefighter) cross all "rolled" into one theme. So making sure it was done perfect was naturally a huge priority.

Another fireman referred me to Gold City Ink and informed me "they are cool guys, who do good work". I have over a dozen tattoos so his "sales pitch" didn't really blow me away. First thing I did was go to Gold City Ink's website to look through their portfolios. The first thing I noticed was they had what the fire service would refer to as a "mission statement".
Gold City was opened to provide two things:
#1 amazing artwork
#2 the best customer service

Honestly this caught me off guard. My experience stereotypically with tattoo artists is "most" have a rock star attitudes with zero professionalism. Gold City had my attention at this point so I gave Rob a call and told him what I was looking to do with my sleeve. I knew right away that this guy had his stuff together and ran his shop with pride. Rob immediately took down my name, phone number, and email address. He asked me to take some pictures of what I had already done and email it to him.

So I put the ball in Rob's court and would base my decision on how he responded to my email. Within hours Rob emailed me back with some ideas, he had already printed up the pictures and began his creative process. I was blown away by his response and we made an appointment.

I showed up the day of our appointment a few minutes early and Rob was already prepping his area to get to work on me. The shop is by far the cleanest, best decorated (Rob's wife is an interior decorator..maybe that helped), most well organized shop I've ever been in.

Rob, had multiple ideas for my artwork and asked for my feedback on everything. I'm so extremely happy with the end result it's hard to explain. Rob is not only an unbelievable artist with an incredible desire to give you the best tattoo he is also a humorous, humble family guy that has 100% integrity in his artwork.

Sincerely, John
